Transforming Communities Initiative 2.0
TCI Reaches Decision on Issue to Tackle
The advisory committee is comprised of community representatives from who live and /or work in Springfield. We have reviewed health needs and barriers identified in Trinity/Mercy Medical Center’s 2020 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA). The advisory committee decided the area of focus by voting on various issues the community is facing until they landed on Housing and Homelessness. They brainstormed multiple strategies to alleviate the housing crisis the nation is grappling with by working to address the issue both on a local and statewide level.
Transforming Communities Initiative's goals are:
- Provide Springfield residents the opportunity to impact change in their communities by sharing their lived and professional experience with decision-makers to advance health equity and racial justice.
